SETTLERS COVE, c. 1812 You enter history as you peer down the long driveway to chestnut rail fence surrounding the cabin, the smoke-house hovering by the gate, the front porch balancing the broad tin roof for rain music as you sit in the swing, the ancient logs whispering their tale of pioneer ways. Enjoy quilts, antiques, and enough country charm to surround your group of 2 to 6. We've put a large hot tub in the yard, and the spring by the cliff is great for wading, or just listening to the water trickling over the rocks in the stream bed. Honeymooner's -- call on this one!
     Proceeding past the locked privacy gate, go go approximately 600 feet till you get to the parking area for YOUR Settler's Cove!  Walking past the split-rail fence, you walk up the 5 stairs to the front porch with a charcoal BBQ grill, 2 chairs, table and a hanging-wooden swing!

     You enter into the main living area with a full size sofa (not a sleeper), recliner, rocking chair, desk with Bible and lamp and AM/FM CD/Cassette portable stereo, a cabinet (if you want to know what's inside, you must click on it!), treasure chest, old-timey china hutch, an old-timey sewing machine (for display, please don't use), river-rock wood-burning fireplace, dining table with four chairs and oil lamp, telephone table with a direct dial phone, old-timey wall mounted time clock, 2 floor lamps,  and a full bed.

     At the far end of the living area you enter into the kitchen area with a table and two chairs, floor lamp, old-timey cupboard with dishes, antique 4-eye electric stove with oven, full-size refrigerator with freezer section, 12-cup 'drip' coffee maker, 2-slice toaster, and a blender.

     To the left of the kitchen you go back in time and find an authentic old-timey full bathroom with an old-timey bathtub with an old-timey shower, vanity sink, an and authentic pull-chain flushing commode!

     At the left rear of the living area you walk up the 11 stairs past the old-timey chalkboard and teachers deck to the loft area with a queen-size bed, full-size bed, bookcase, a cut-out area with a view down to the living area, above which is a mantle with an eagle and an owl (very tame), 4-drawer dresser, night stand, table with chair and lamp, chair, 3-drawer dresser with mirror, floor lamp, treasure chest, and a table with a 13" TV and VCR with a wall mounted AC/Heat air handler.

     Around the side of Settler's Cove you will find a hot tub just waiting for you and yours!  Behind Settler's Cove is an outhouse ( show this to your family when you first arrive, and explain to them: ...by the way, did I remember to tell you there's no running water? and watch the looks on their faces,  HA.)

     Due to popular demand, THE SMOKEHOUSE is back available, GREAT for kids, (to leave mom & dad alone!)  The Smokehouse's Interior  has a mini-cathedral ceiling, and is just big enough for a full size bed and a little elbow room left over!
